Navigator Holdings, an international shipping company, hired Oyster Works to design, build, and furnish a New York office for their Chairman and CEO. Our assignment was to create an outer office / reception area and private office with a conference table. The challenge was to fit a desk and work area, conference table, and sitting area in one room and take advantage of the abundant natural light and view down Park Avenue toward the MetLife Building. The glass-topped desk and conference table were made to our specifications using cherry from Pennsylvania and anegre, a hardwood from central Africa.
