Project Manager and Oyster Works partner Andrew Baer works with each Oyster Works project to coordinate the efforts of the architect, contractors, and material suppliers from the beginning of the project to the grand opening. He serves as the chief point of contact with the owner and his sharp eye and deep knowledge of building ensure that the design is realized on-time and on-budget. Andrew started his career as a carpenter, then moved into construction management and soon after started his own design / build company in New York. Andrew has built affordable housing in East Harlem and the South Bronx, renovated historic homes in the Hudson Valley, and managed the residential development of a privately owned island in the British West Indies. Andrew has conducted workshops for the New York Landmarks Conservancy, the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the YMCA, and YouthBuild USA. He is active in his community as a volunteer and consultant to non-profit and environmental groups. He is an avid reader, eager fisherman, and enthusiastic kayaker.
